In Spain, a national curfew is imposed but each region decides on other restrictive measures.
Catalonia has decided since Friday, October 30 to close all cinemas, theaters and performance halls.
In the evening, the cultural sector mobilized in the street against these new measures.

Workers in the Catalan cultural sector demonstrated this Friday at the end of the afternoon on the first day of the closure of all cinemas, theaters and performance halls in the region.
A measure deemed unfair by Paula Helia, a dance teacher, who recalls that certain businesses such as clothing stores are always open: “
The stores are open and we are not!
All they want to do is produce.
For them to produce material, it is useful, the rest, no.
But it also means a lot of unemployed people.

" chanted hundreds of demonstrators calling for the reopening of theaters.

It is not just a slogan, it is true: no case has been detected,
underlines Javier Fernández, actor.
And the people who came to the theater in a crowded bus, they were safer sitting in the theater than outside.

Quick reopening hoped for before Christmas
The actor denounces the lack of consideration of the regional government: “
It's surprising because one week, they tell us that culture is indispensable and essential for people and the following week, they say that people can work but that we , we can't work!

This closure should last at least fifteen days.
The sector is hoping for a quick reopening before the end of the year holidays.
