China News Service, Urumqi, October 31st (Reporter Sun Tingwen and Zhao Yamin) On the evening of the 31st, Gu Yingsu, deputy director of the Xinjiang Health Commission, informed a press conference that Xinjiang reported from 24:00 on October 30 to 18:00 on 31st. There were 61 new cases of asymptomatic infection, of which 46 were in Shufu County, and 15 were in Karekaiqike Township and Pilal Township in Aktao County, adjacent to Shufu County.

On the evening of the 31st, the Information Office of the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held the sixth press conference on Kashgar epidemic prevention and control to introduce the situation.

According to reports, as of 18:00 on October 31, Xinjiang has 51 confirmed cases (all asymptomatic infections were transferred to diagnosis) and 222 asymptomatic infections, all from Shufu County and Aktao County.

Gu Yingsu said that after the outbreak in Shufu County, according to the deployment of Xinjiang Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, Kashgar immediately launched free nucleic acid testing for all employees. The first round was completed on October 27. Except for the 183 people reported in Shufu County, they were positive. In addition, the rest are all negative.

According to the laws of epidemiology, especially considering that there are more asymptomatic infections in the outbreak in Shufu County, in order to ensure the health of the people of all ethnic groups, the Kashgar area began to carry out measures on Shufu County, Kashgar City, and Shule County on the 29th. For the second full-staff nucleic acid test, the second nucleic acid test was performed on close contacts in other counties.

Gu Yingsu said that increasing the intensity and frequency of nucleic acid testing is an effective means to implement the "four early" measures and accurately detect infected persons. The shorter the time limit for negative nucleic acid testing results, the safer it is.

There is a certain time interval from the time the new coronavirus is infected to when it can be detected. If the first nucleic acid sampling happens to fall within this time interval, it may not be detected.

According to the incubation period of the new coronavirus, the incubation period of new coronary pneumonia is 1 to 14 days, and the common incubation period is 3 to 7 days. This means that about 90% of people will have a positive nucleic acid test within 3 to 7 days after being infected with the virus, and some People are less than 3 days, and some people are more than 7 days.

The second round of nucleic acid testing is to accurately identify and screen infected people who are still in the incubation period in the shortest time.

This is not only conducive to the implementation of the "four mornings" requirements, to buy time for early treatment and early recovery, but also to prevent the spread of the epidemic, and make every effort to protect the lives and health of people of all ethnic groups.

According to reports, as of 18:00 on October 31, the second round of nucleic acid testing for people above Kashgar area has been completed. Except for the confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections that have been announced, the test results of the rest are negative.

All newly-added asymptomatic infections are from Zhanmin Township and surrounding towns in Shufu County, and they are all under quarantine medical observation.

Gu Yingsu said that the Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture’s Akto County, Atushi City, Wuqia County and Shufu County bordered the Shufu County as soon as the outbreak occurred. Carried out free nucleic acid testing for all employees.

As of 18:00 on October 27th, the whole prefecture has completed nucleic acid tests for all employees, and the test results are all negative.

On the 30th, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture carried out the second round of free nucleic acid testing in key areas and key populations.

From 24:00 on the 30th to 18:00 on the 31st, there were 15 new cases of asymptomatic infections in the neighboring Karekaiqike Township and Pilal Townships of Aktao County and Shufu County, all of whom were under isolation medical observation.
