Slovenian Primoz Roglic won Friday in Suances (north) the 10th stage of the Tour of Spain cycling, his third stage since the start of the event, coming back just 3 seconds behind Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz in the general classification.

In a steep final at the end of a mostly flat stage, Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) took the upper hand in a sprint between punchers and recovered 10 seconds of bonus to come back to 3 seconds of the red jersey Richard Carapaz (Ineos ) in the general classification, before a high mountain weekend.

The peloton, led by riders from Astana, Deceuninck and Mitchelton-Scott, came back 16 km from the line on a breakaway formed by the Spaniard Jonathan Lastra (Caja Rural), the Belgian Brent Van Moer (Lotto- Soudal) and the Dutch Alex Molenaar (Burgos-BH) and Pim Ligthart (Total Direct Energie).
