Novak Djokovic was swept away by Italy's Lorenzo Sonego, 42nd in the world, 6-2, 6-1, on Friday in the quarter-finals of the Vienna tournament.

This is only the second racket defeat in hand for the world No. 1 this season after the one suffered in the Roland-Garros final three weeks ago.

The Serbian also lost on disqualification at the US Open.

He hadn't bowed to such a low-ranked player in over two years.

The Italian is also a "lucky loser" (drafted).
