The right has called for a hardening of the legislative arsenal after the Nice attack in a basilica on Thursday morning.

Bruno Retailleau, president of the Les Républicains group in the Senate and interviewed by Europe 1, evokes a cause and effect relationship between immigration, Islamization and attacks.

Four years after the attack on the Promenade des Anglais, Nice was again hit by an attack on Thursday.

Three people were murdered in the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption basilica at the end of the morning.

Faced with this macabre stuttering in history, the inhabitants are calling for measures.

Just like several voices of the right and far right opposition, such as Marine Le Pen, Guillaume Peltier but also Bruno Retailleau, boss of senators Les Républicains, who spoke at the microphone of Europe 1.

According to Senator LR de Vendée, immigration to France is uncontrolled and is believed to be at the origin of the series of Islamist attacks currently hitting France.

"The Villeurbanne killer was an Afghan. The man with the chopper who attacked two journalists in front of the former Charlie Hebdo premises was a Pakistani fake miner. Then, the one who beheaded Samuel Paty was also a Chechen," insists Bruno Retailleau.

"The assailant in Nice is described to us as a Tunisian who had passed through Lampedusa."

The government summoned to respond

The alleged perpetrator of the attack is indeed a 21-year-old Tunisian, identified by a document from the Italian Red Cross.

According to initial investigations, he arrived in Europe via the Italian island of Lampedusa on September 20, before landing on the mainland in Bari on October 9, explained the anti-terrorism prosecutor, Jean-François Ricard.

For Bruno Retailleau, "there is therefore a link between immigration that we no longer control in France and Islamization. Things are clear."

He questions the government's desire to put an end to what he perceives as a disruption of immigration flows: "Does he want to put an end to it? He will not end the attacks if he does not put an end to this disorder migratory. "
