At the headquarters of PACT, the party of candidate Makalé Traoré, almost all the unsuccessful candidates are represented.

All that is missing is Laye Souleymane Diallo, excluded for congratulating President Alpha Condé on his re-election, according to one of the organizers.

Makalé Traoré reads the declaration: “

The participants were unanimous in recognizing that the ballot was marred by serious irregularities

[…]

Given the serious irregularities recorded before, during and after the ballot, the participants decided to categorically reject

the provisional results. proclaimed by the Ceni

on Saturday, October 24 at the People's Palace

, declares the candidate.

The candidates have each decided to lodge an appeal with the Constitutional Court and appeal to this Court to show objectivity and responsibility in the treatment of electoral disputes.

"

Call to suspend protests

Candidates have until early next week to individually file their appeals.

Until then,

Cellou Dalein Diallo

, who came second according to the official results, but who declared himself the winner according to his own vote count, calls for the demonstrations to be suspended: “

We must give the families time to mourn.

We must also allow the populations to stock up on basic necessities.

"

In a press release, the CENI affirms that the centralization operations have not suffered "

 from any distortion

".

The decision of the Constitutional Court will not be subject to appeal.
