Another twelve weeks of "free" Covid Cash and layoffs until the end of March.

According to what is learned, Prime Minister Conte said this to the trade unions at the meeting this evening.

"We are facing the challenge of the pandemic - said the prime minister - but we will try to preserve employment levels. Until the end of March everything will be blocked".

"We are living in a complex situation, with so much concern and suffering. For this reason the government believes it must make a further financial effort and give a message to the whole working world of certainty and security", explains the head of the government.

The Ristori decree, already published in the Official Gazette, establishes only six weeks of layoffs, which can be used between 15 November and 31 January.

Furlan: fundamental step forward from the government

"The decision taken by the government certainly allows us to give a minimum of serenity to our people. We thank the Prime Minister, whom we thank, for having understood the reasons and concerns expressed by the union in these days ".

Thus the general secretary of the CISL, Annamaria Furlan.

"The fact of going out tonight with an understanding allows us to face the complicated days in the country and in the workplace with a positive spirit. It is a fundamental step forward, we counted on it a lot", he stresses.
