Absolutely different nature of crimes: the Kremlin reacted to the attack on police in Tatarstan

On the night of Friday, October 30, in the Kukmorsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, a 16-year-old teenager tried to set fire to the building of the regional police department using an incendiary mixture.

According to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, during the arrest, the minor inflicted at least three stabs at a police officer.

Another law enforcement officer, after warning shots, opened fire to kill.

As a result of his injuries, the attacker died before the arrival of doctors, the department added.

According to the data of the republican Ministry of Internal Affairs, at about 00:30 local time, a precinct officer, while parking his official car on the territory of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kukmorsky District, noticed a fire on the ground and shards of glass.

In the course of extinguishing the fire, another bottle was thrown into the parking lot, presumably with a combustible mixture, after which the attacker tried to escape.

The district police officer, together with the head of the IVS of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kukmorsky district, began pursuing an unknown person who threatened them with a knife after being overtaken.

“The young man did not react to repeated demands to stop illegal actions.

During the arrest, he actively resisted and inflicted several knife wounds on one of the policemen.

Taking into account the aggressive and socially dangerous behavior of the citizen, in accordance with the law "On Police", law enforcement officers used service weapons.

As a result, the attacker, a local resident born in 2004, died on the spot from his wounds, ”the press service of the Tatarstan Interior Ministry said.

It is noted that the Minister of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, Police Lieutenant General Artyom Khokhorin, arrived at the scene.

Operative-search measures and investigative actions were organized to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
