According to the Freedom Times, at noon on September 22, 2015, the AT-3 trainer piloted by flight instructor Major Wang Jinjun and student Lieutenant Huang Junrong conducted “instrument flight” training in the airspace near Maboras Mountain in Xinyi Township, Nantou County Suddenly lost contact at that time. After many days of land and air searches, the Taiwan military found the wreckage of the plane and the remains of the two pilots trapped in the cockpit on the 26th of that month.

The appraisal report believes that the two died instantly due to a front impact.

The 2040 Phantom 2000 single-seater fighter piloted by the pilot Captain He Ziyu took off from Hsinchu Air Force Base at 6:9 pm on November 7, 2017. It participated in the night training session and lost contact at 6:43.

After the incident, a large number of aircraft and ships searched and found nothing. Until December 2018, the nose wheel, shock absorber pillars, engine parts and other missing wreckage of the phantom fighter were found in the waters near the disappearance of the radar spot; in October last year, the fighter was found Flight recorder (FDR, commonly known as "black box").

During the Hanguang exercise on June 4, 2018, the F-16 fighter jet piloted by Taiwan Air Force Major Wu Yanting served as the imaginary enemy in the exercise. After taking off from the Hualien base, it was originally planned to go around the sea off Keelung and then simulate the launch of Taipei and Keelung Port. Unexpectedly, the fighter plane lost contact over Keelung at 1:44 pm on the "air raid" mission, and the pilot died.

The Taiwan military analyzed the cause of the incident after investigating the "air flight recorder", and did not rule out various factors such as man-made, weather, and environment, which were caused by a "complex environment."

The black box was found one month later.

At 7:54 am on January 2 this year, the Taiwan Air Force Ambulance Corps No. 933 "UH-60M" Black Hawk helicopter, carrying 13 people including Taiwan’s Chief of Staff Shen Yiming, flew from Songshan Airport to Yilan to comfort the officers and soldiers.
