Saudi Arabia allows pilgrims to come from other countries

The channel quoted the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah as saying that "the performance of Umrah is available to Muslims around the world."

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has set the conditions governing the reception of pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia, which are established within the third phase of the gradual return of Umrah, which begins next Sunday.

The ministry confirmed earlier, that "the Kingdom is honored to start receiving pilgrims from outside the Kingdom for the third phase of the return of Umrah and the gradual visit from the first of next November," according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The step comes within the third phase of the Umrah, which will begin by opening the door for pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia, which raises the operational precautionary capacity by 100%, bringing its operational capacity in the Great Mosque of Mecca to 20 thousand pilgrims per day, 60 thousand worshipers and 19,500 visitors.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Hajj and Umrah Services, Dr. Amr Al-Maddah, confirmed, in statements, that the mechanism for organizing Umrah for those coming from outside Saudi Arabia requires specific procedures, including submitting an application to perform Umrah with full personal and health data, with a maximum of 50 people for one group of countries permitted And the need to have an external Umrah agent or marketer of the available Umrah packages, and the component of high-quality integrated Umrah packages and to book flights based on the supply and demand from each country.

He stressed that the operational model is based on the classification of preventive measures and requirements for the countries from which the pilgrims come, the specific capacity for Umrah abroad, the organization of the arrival of pilgrims in the form of groups, and the marketing platforms available to purchase services.

Al-Maddah stated that the protocol for the entitlement to Umrah is for the age group allowed to go for Umrah from abroad from 18 to 50 years, in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health, and it has imposed a PCR examination certificate with a negative result proving that they are free from the emerging corona virus that was issued by a reliable laboratory from the state of the pilgrim that does not exceed 72 hours from the time the sample is taken until the time of departure to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Maddah also indicated that the preventive measures were classified by the ministries of Hajj, Umrah and Health, and the National Center for Disease Prevention and Control to classify the countries from which the pilgrims come, to levels that are reviewed periodically according to the level of development of the Corona virus in them.
