The Ras Al Khaimah Municipality has obligated health and food facilities and veterinary centers in the emirate to periodically conduct a Corona examination for its workers every 14 days, as part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus, follow-up of workers and ensure their safety and not expose them to infection.

The Public Health Department in the municipality sent a circular to the health, food and veterinary facilities in the emirate, stating the necessity to keep the results of workers ’examinations, and to inform the Public Health Department as soon as positive cases are discovered among them.

The circular, which Emirates Today obtained a copy of, stressed the importance of adhering to personal hygiene, providing gloves and a head covering, and adhering to social distancing with a distance of no less than two meters between facility workers and customers, and periodically sterilizing personal and office tools.

He added that the Public Health Department was keen to educate workers in facilities in several languages, in order to ensure that they are aware of preventive measures to maintain public health and safety.

The local emergency, crisis and disaster management team in Ras Al Khaimah stressed the importance of intensifying efforts to enhance public awareness to combat the Corona virus, and violating those who are not committed to the approved and stipulated precautionary measures, pointing to the need for the concerned authorities to intensify inspection campaigns and monitor violations, and stress the application of precautionary measures. And accountability for violators, in order to preserve the security and safety of society.

The team also stressed that no tolerance will be given to anyone who violates the regulations and laws for limiting and eliminating the spread of the Corona virus, by adhering to the preventive requirements.
