July to September, a cleaning effort has been carried out along the coast from a boat, on behalf of the municipality.

Now that the cleaning investment has been summed up, Sofie Samuelsson, environmental developer at Ronneby municipality, is satisfied with the result.

We have collected more than we have imagined.

It is very positive that you remove so much that should not be there.

A total of 90 km of coastline has been cleaned over three years, which means the entire municipality's coastline.

This year, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency granted just over half a million kronor to the investment.

Got a job for a year

The beach cleaning has also meant that four people got a job for three months, and thanks to the project, two of them have found new employers for the next year.
