On October 29, the Beijing Court Trial Information Network published the criminal ruling of the second instance of corruption by Wang Dong and others.
The court found that Wang Dong accepted bribes equivalent to more than RMB 11.95 million by buying 4 houses at significantly lower prices than market prices and accepting calligraphy and painting, and cooperated with others to illegally occupy Beijing Enterprises Co., Ltd. to purchase furniture of 1.42 million yuan.
Born in August 1965, Wang Dong has served in the state-owned system for a long time. He has served as chairman of Beijing BBMG Group Co., Ltd., director of Beijing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and chairman of Beijing Enterprises Group Co., Ltd. for nearly 16 years.
It is worth mentioning that the court judgment showed that Wang Dong was initially investigated on suspicion of concealing overseas deposits. After arriving in the case, he took the initiative to confess the facts of corruption and bribery that the investigating agency has not yet grasped.

Before joining the Beijing Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau as a bureau-level cadre in February 2019, he served as Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beijing Enterprises Holdings Group Co., Ltd., Director of the Beijing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Beijing Jinyu Group Co., Ltd. According to the first-instance judgment of Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People's Court, on August 13, 2019, Wang Dong was detained by the Beijing Municipal Supervisory Committee, he was criminally detained on February 13, 2020, and arrested on February 26 of the same year.
On September 1, 2020, the Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People's Court sentenced Wang Dong to 11 years in prison for bribery and corruption in the first instance and a fine of 1.2 million yuan.
After the verdict was pronounced in the first instance, Wang Dong filed an appeal.
During the trial by the Beijing Higher People's Court, Wang Dong withdrew the lawsuit.
Buying 4 houses at low prices, illegally receiving over 10 million yuan in property
The Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People's Court determined that from 2006 to 2017, Wang Dong took advantage of his position as secretary and chairman of the BBMG Party Committee, deputy secretary and director of the Beijing SASAC, and secretary and chairman of the Beijing Enterprises Group. Provided assistance to Huang Mou, the former general manager of BBMG Jiaye Company, the legal representative of Squirrel Cultural Tourism Company, and Wang Mou, the actual controller of Yitong Company, in matters such as promotion and business operation, and illegally accepted Huang Mou and Wang Mou 1 The total of the property is equivalent to more than 11.95 million yuan.
Among them, from 2006 to 2007, when Wang Dong was the party secretary and chairman of the BBMG Group, he provided assistance to Huang in matters such as promotion and business operation.
From July 2008 to March 2010, Wang Dong, through Huang Mou, purchased four houses in Shuanghuayuan South Lane, Shuanghuayuan South Lane 2, Chaoyang District Yaojiayuan Xili at a price significantly lower than the market price.
According to the appraisal, the purchase price of the above-mentioned four houses was lower than the market price by a total of RMB 6.97 million.
In 2008, when Wang Dong was the deputy secretary and director of the Party Committee of the Beijing Municipal SASAC, he provided assistance to Wang 1’s acquisition of certain shares of Beijing Dacheng Real Estate Co., Ltd. and accepted a painting and calligraphy given by Wang 1. From 2016 to November 2017, when Wang Dong was the party secretary and chairman of Beijing Enterprises Group, he asked Huang to take over the Langfang project that his wife and brother Yang 1 (deceased) had not completed the acquisition, and personally coordinated and promoted the project. project.

Suspected of concealing overseas deposits and proactively confessing the facts of corruption and bribery
The Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People's Court found that from 2010 to 2012, when Wang Dong was the party secretary and chairman of Beijing Enterprises Group, and the chairman and executive director of Beijing Enterprises Co., Ltd., he was also the defendant Kou Yingyue, who was also the director of Longshuncheng Furniture Factory. , Shipped four pieces of Chinese-style furniture from the furniture factory, and used the method of fabricating false supply units and prices to illegally occupy the furniture purchase payment of RMB 1.42 million paid by Beijing Enterprises Holdings Limited.
In 2018, Wang Dong and the defendant Kou Yingyue gave the above four pieces of Chinese furniture to others in his own name.
According to the appraisal, the above-mentioned furniture has a market value of RMB 90,000.
On August 12, 2019, Wang Dong was suspected of concealing overseas deposits. After receiving a phone call from the investigating agency, he came to the case the next day and voluntarily explained the facts of corruption and bribery that the investigating agency has not yet known.
Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People's Court believes that Wang Dong's behavior has constituted the crime of bribery and corruption.
Since he was able to truthfully confess the crimes of bribery and corruption in the case that the investigating agency has not yet grasped after arriving in the case, he constituted a surrender in accordance with the law.
And he pleaded guilty and punished, took the initiative to return part of the stolen money, decided to take a lighter punishment for the crime of taking bribes, and reduce the punishment for the crime of corruption.
On September 1 this year, the Beijing No. 3 Intermediate People's Court ruled: Wang Dong was sentenced to ten years imprisonment for bribery and a fine of RMB 1 million; for corruption, he was sentenced to two years imprisonment and fined RMB two. One hundred thousand yuan; decided to carry out a fixed-term imprisonment of 11 years, and fined 1.2 million yuan.
After the verdict was pronounced in the first instance, Wang Dong refused to accept it and lodged an appeal.
During the hearing of the Beijing Higher People's Court, Wang Dong applied to withdraw the appeal.
On October 20 this year, the Beijing Higher People's Court ruled that the appellant Wang Dong was allowed to withdraw the appeal.
