“Once again highly appreciating the constant political support of the Turkish President to Azerbaijan in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Aliyev expressed confidence that the friendly and fraternal peoples of Azerbaijan and Turkey will continue to be next to each other,” writes the Turkish Anadolu news agency.

It is noted that Aliyev congratulated Erdogan on the occasion of the Republic Day.

Earlier, Erdogan said that in a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he proposed to jointly solve the problem of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov opposed the further unwinding of the military scenario in Nagorno-Karabakh and called on external players to step up efforts to stabilize the peace process in the region.
