According to the hospital, it is a "small number" of employees in the operating room who have suffered from corona, which LT was the first to report on.

- It is probable that the spread took place in the workplace, but no one showed symptoms when they were on site, says Yvonne Hejdenberg, communications manager at Södertälje hospital.

Do you suspect that any patient has been infected?

- They may have been exposed to infection and should then have received information about it.

We carry out infection tracking and do everything we can to minimize further spread.

Will there be any delays in operations?

- As it looks now, it does not affect the business.

The operating room is not the first with a confirmed infection.

According to the hospital, it has been confirmed in at least two wards before.
