29 October 2020 The judges of the Court of Appeal of Rome ordered the indictment of the former major of the Noe Giampaolo Scafarto and the colonel of the Arma, Alessandro Sessa, involved in one of the strands of the investigation into the Consip case.

The two had been acquitted by the investigating judge Clementina Forleo in October 2019.

The second instance judges, on the other hand, accepted the request of the Attorney General, setting the trial on December 9 before the judges of the second collegiate section.

Against Scafarto the accusation is of revelation of the secret, false and misleading, while for Sessa the accusation is of misleading.

Their position will then be reunited with the rest of the accused (the former Minister of Sport Luca Lotti, the entrepreneur Carlo Russo, the general of the Arma Emanuele Saltalamacchia and the president of the Publiacqua company Filippo Vannoni), who are already in court to the judges of the eighth criminal court section.
