From the Sacré-Coeur in Paris, to the church of Talence, near Bordeaux, this "bell of the dead" rang at 3 pm, a symbolic hour for Christians because it would be that of the death of Christ.

Three victims in the attack

Three people were killed, at least one of whom had their throat cut during this knife attack in which the author was arrested.

The latter was shot and taken to hospital.

The man shouted "Allah Akbar" before being injured during his arrest.

He said his name is "Brahim" and is "25 years old", according to a source close to the investigation.

However, his identity was not yet formally established at the end of the morning.

The National Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor's Office (Pnat) immediately opened an investigation for "murder and attempted murder in connection with a terrorist enterprise" and "criminal terrorist association".
