Suspicions have been raised that government officials from National Assembly Broadcasting have been unfairly collecting overtime pay by letting non-regular workers who work with them record their attendance and work for years.

The Ministry of State and Company launched a fact-finding investigation.

This is an exclusive report by reporter Minjung Kim.

Mr. A was hired as a non-regular worker for the National Assembly Broadcasting several years ago.

This is a note from my predecessor right after I started working.

It contains the names of the two officials of the National Assembly Broadcasting System and their passwords for accessing the internal network of the National Assembly Broadcasting.

[Mr. A: You give your password to the computer, and then come in the morning and take another picture.] When

Mr. A is on duty in the morning or at night, even before the public officials go to work or after work, they access the internal network with their IDs. It means that I had to upload fake records instead, as if I worked at the same time as Mr. A.

They put it up to two people at 20 hours a month, and if it is estimated as an annual overtime allowance, it exceeds 4 million won, and it is said that there were more cases besides myself.

[Mr. A: Some people kept filming, and some (government official) seniors said,'Please do it well so that it doesn't make you notice.

Please do it because you have a better time term.' (I said.)]

It was because of the situation that I was a non-regular worker.

[Mr. A:'Don't come out from tomorrow', because if you do this, you can't respond...

]

When asked if there was such a fact to the public official,

[the public official of the National Assembly Broadcasting System: (I) why do you give it to your juniors?

(Have you ever given me your password or ID?) Yes.]

However, the answer changed when Mr. A entered the password for the internal network that he entered instead.

[Applicable officials belonging to National Assembly Broadcasting: Ah...

I think I was mistaken at that time.

I think it was inappropriate.] One

other official did not respond to the interview.

[Kim Jeong-jae/National Power Member (National Assembly Operation Committee): This is a case in which a regular employee stole national taxes through a knack for years on a non-regular worker.

A thorough investigation is necessary to see if there were any problems with the system.] When

SBS's coverage began, the Ministry of State and Company initiated a fact-finding investigation for the National Assembly Broadcasting.

If the suspicion turns out to be true, it has said that it will take action, such as disciplining the person concerned.
