Vladimir Putin said that mass vaccination against the new coronavirus infection could begin at the end of the year.

The head of state spoke about this during his speech at the plenary meeting of the investment forum "VTB Capital" "Russia is calling!"

The President stressed that Russian specialists "do not have a single serious failure in this area."

“The vaccine of both Vector and the Gamaleya Institute is working effectively.

The question is in establishing mass production.

This vaccine has already been delivered to all regions.

I hope that we will be able to start mass vaccination at the end of the year, ”the president said.

As a reminder, the Sputnik V vaccine was registered in August at the

Gamalei, in October - "EpiVacCorona" center "Vector".

Another drug is at the stage of clinical trials, the development of which was led by the Chumakov Center for Research and Development of Immunobiological Drugs of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Along with this, Putin noted that vaccines developed in Russia meet the main requirements for such drugs.

“The main thing is that they are safe and effective, and these two requirements are met in the first and second cases: in the case of Sputnik V, and in the case of a vector vaccine.

The third vaccine is on its way, ”Putin said.

The President noted that Russia is ready to work more closely with foreign partners in the scientific field on the COVID-19 vaccine and bring its drugs to foreign markets.

At the same time, Putin indicated that the citizens of Russia will be provided with vaccines against coronavirus in the first place.

“First of all, we will have to ensure the vaccination of citizens of the Russian Federation, our people, to protect their health from this dangerous infection.

This is the first thing.

Second.

We do not just refuse, but we will gladly and already work in foreign markets, ”Putin said.

Russia is ready to sell intellectual property for its coronavirus vaccines and produce them at the sites of foreign partners, the president said.

  • Total lockdown in Russia will not be introduced, Vladimir Putin said

Speaking about the restrictions introduced in the country against the backdrop of the pandemic, the head of state indicated that there are no plans to introduce a "nationwide lockdown".

The head of state said that the country's leadership clearly understands how to act in the current situation.

“And therefore we do not plan to introduce total restrictive measures, launch the so-called nationwide lockdown, when the economy, the work of business actually completely stops,” Putin said.

According to him, in case of "objective necessity, taking into account the recommendations of doctors" in the regions, "justified point solutions" can be introduced, which will protect people and preserve the continuous operation of enterprises and organizations.

“In this regard, I ask business owners, company managers to show social responsibility.

Observe all the prescriptions of doctors and specialists regarding the working conditions of personnel, labor collectives, ”the President noted.

Recall that the total number of cases of COVID-19 detected in Russia since the beginning of the epidemic in the country has reached 1,581,693. 1,186,041 patients have recovered, including 14,740 in the last day.

From complications that developed against the background of COVID-19, and concomitant diseases, 27,301 people died.

Over the past day, 366 deaths have been registered.

Putin said that an amount of funds equivalent to 4.5% of GDP was allocated to fight the coronavirus pandemic in the Russian Federation.

“For Russia, the unconditional priority is to protect the life and health of Russian citizens, our families.

I have already spoken about this many times.

In this logic, we have built and will continue to build our actions during the epidemic, formed a package of anti-crisis measures aimed at preserving jobs, citizens' incomes, stimulating new orders in production chains, ”the President said about the measures taken in this regard.

At the same time, Putin said that in the current situation it was decided to extend the moratorium on scheduled inspections of small businesses.

The President noted that this step will help reduce the administrative and tax burden on companies that employ millions of Russians.

Putin said the downturn in the economy had been mitigated.

In particular, we managed to maintain macroeconomic stability, prevent a surge in inflation, and ensure a stable financial situation in the markets, the president said.

“On this solid foundation, we will build our further steps, consolidate the efforts of the state and the business community in order to overcome the recession, restore employment, and return the national economy to a growth path,” Putin said.

According to him, the decline in the Russian economy this year will be within 4%, which is a lower indicator than in other countries.
