"Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu gave instructions to provide assistance to the Kurgan region in the fight against coronavirus infection," TASS quoted the defense ministry as saying.
It is noted that the ministry will send a consolidated team of military medical specialists to the Kurgan region to provide advice and treatment to patients with coronavirus infection in hospitals in the region.
Earlier it was reported that the governor of the Kurgan region, Vadim Shumkov, went into self-isolation after contact with colleagues who were sick with COVID-19.
