On Amazon.se, a shower curtain with rapeseed flowers was translated as "rape", and cross stitch with a rooster motif became "cock".
According to Jens Edlund, language technologist at KTH, errors occur because the translation is fully automatic.
- It is reasonable that they now look in the comment fields to find and identify the errors faster, and even retrain the machine learning with the knowledge that is there, he says.
