According to the head of the relevant commission, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine for Strategic Industries Oleg Urusky, the plane crashed for a number of reasons.

“The first dangerous factor that provoked the event, which later led to the plane crash, was the failure of the PRT-24 system from the left engine control system,” he said.

It is noted that as a result of the investigation by the government commission, the reasons for the plane crash were: takeoff by a conveyor belt (6 flights were performed in a row);

failure of the engine control system;

violation of the planned flight schedule;

systemic violations of flight rules;

insufficient professional training of the crew during an emergency.

Military aircraft An-26, on board which were seven officers and 20 cadets of the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force named after Kozhedub, crashed on the evening of September 25 while landing in the Kharkiv region.

The bodies of 25 dead were found at the crash site, another person died in the hospital.

One cadet survived.
