A 60-year-old man was found dead at his home in Rouen (Seine-Maritime) on Saturday, October 24.

It was his daughter who had alerted the firefighters, worried about not hearing from her father.

Helpers had discovered the lifeless man in his messy apartment.

His shorts were down, part of his T-shirt torn and he showed signs of blows, as well as a swollen face, reports

Traces of blood were also reportedly discovered inside the home by investigators.

Four people in custody

An investigation for "intentional homicide" was opened and an autopsy of the body requested.

According to the first elements, the injuries of the victim would not have been caused by a handgun or by a knife.

Since then, four people have been taken into police custody on Tuesday, October 28.

They are two women aged 25 and 28 and two men, aged 26 and 32.

According to the regional daily, the two women who live in the same neighborhood as the sixty-year-old surrendered to the police.
