The Supreme Court concludes today (29th) against former President Lee Myung-bak, who was sentenced to 17 years in prison in an appeals trial on charges of bribery and embezzlement.

In February, the Appeals Tribunal imprisoned the former president for 17 years in prison, 13 billion won in fines, and 5.7 billion won in additional fines on charges of embezzling dozens of money and receiving bribes of 10 billion won, including dozens of US lawsuits paid by Samsung Electronics on its behalf. Sentenced.

Former President Lee was re-imprisoned in a detention center, but was released again when the lawyers reappealed the decision to cancel bail.

If the Supreme Court is convicted, former President Lee could be put back in jail after eight months.
