Three teenagers are suspected of having assaulted and stolen the vehicle of a septuagenarian, on October 17, in Canet-en-Roussillon (Pyrénées-Orientales), indicate the services of the gendarmerie.

The 77-year-old victim was in the parking lot of a supermarket when the carjacking took place.

The next day, the police spotted the stolen car, and put it to flight, "the driver having taken reckless risks", indicate the gendarmes.

The vehicle found in an accident

The vehicle will be found in an accident 2 km further, and the driver and his two passengers have fled.

They will all be arrested and placed in police custody.

Two of them were imprisoned, the other placed under judicial supervision.

They will be judged shortly.
