SERIELAND RECO - A few days before the American presidential election, SERIELAND recommends "The Comey Rules" on Canal + and deciphers American politics in the series.

With Corentin Sellin, historian and columnist for the media "Les Jours", Eva Roque returns to "The West Wing", "Veep", "House of Cards".

And this week, our team of serivores also recommend "The Undoing" with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.

The Comey Rule

is the new series broadcast on Canal +.

It is inspired by the book

A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership

written by James Comey, the former FBI director appointed by Obama, and dismissed by Trump in 2017. It is a hyperrealistic series that borders on docu-fiction , in four one-hour episodes.

By plunging us behind the scenes of the administration of Obama and Trump, it has above all the merit of giving us brilliantly the keys to understanding the two great crises which shook the United States and the FBI: the affair of the e- emails from Hillary Clinton and Russian interference in Trump's election.

A few days before the American presidential election, SERIELAND then offers you a decryption of American policy in the series.

To distinguish between what comes under the invention of the script and reality, Eva Roque receives Corentin Sellin.

He is a historian, specialist in American history, and columnist for the media Les Jours.

Is Trump a good serial character?

How do you approach American politics in a series?

How not to fall into a comedy against Trump?

Doesn't reality go beyond fiction?

SERIELAND recommends you in this episode:

A political docu-fiction:

The Comey Rule

on Canal +

A thrilling thriller:

The Undoing

on OCS

A political biopic:

The Loudest Voice

on Canal +

A supernatural fiction:

Moloch

on Arte

The other series not to be missed: "The Undoing"

It's this fall's psychological thriller.

The Undoing

on OCS follows the story of a successful therapist whose perfect little life collapses the day one of the parents of students is found murdered.

At the same time, her husband, a pediatrician oncologist, disappears.

He becomes suspect number 1.

This series seduces by the scathing autopsy it makes of the New York bourgeoisie.

But obviously also for its incredible cast which brings together the excellent Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant.

Here, he stands out remarkably from the roles of frozen lovers to which he had accustomed us.

Eva Roque's favorite

Eva Roque strongly recommends

Moloch

.

It's a series that mixes police investigation and fantasy.

For no apparent reason, men and women ignite, victims of spontaneous combustion.

Then begins an investigation where the two heroes dented by life will meet: a young journalist and a psychiatrist ... SERIELAND will talk to you about it in more detail next week in a big interview with director Arnaud Malherbe.
