This year, the province's traditional Chinese medicinal materials base area reached 2.6 million mu, double the amount in 2018.

This year, the planting area of ​​key Chinese medicinal materials such as Acanthopanax Senticosus, Schisandra, Ginseng, Radix Isatidis, Deer Antler, etc., accounted for more than 40% of the total area.

At present, the authentic materials of Heilongjiang Province are of pure origin, high quality, and outstanding medicinal properties, which have been well-known at home and abroad.

Among them, Acanthopanax, Banlangen and Pingbei have accounted for 80%, 50%, and 30% of the Chinese market respectively.

  In recent years, Heilongjiang has established the goal of building an industry of 100 billion yuan in traditional Chinese medicine in the province, as an important industry to promote poverty alleviation and increase agricultural income.

Focusing on the development goals of authentic planting, standardized processing, and industrialization, the province has initially realized agglomeration and large-scale development based on the construction of standardized bases, the primary and fine processing of Chinese medicinal materials as the backbone, and the distribution and marketing of Longyao products as the hub. A large number of superior products and leading enterprises with distinctive local characteristics and strong market competitiveness have emerged.

At present, there are 39 leading enterprises above the scale of traditional Chinese medicine production in the province, with an annual processing output value of more than 5 billion yuan.
