According to information from Europe 1, 3,000 people were fined during the night from Saturday to Sunday for not respecting the curfew.

To these fines are added the 1,000 distributed during the day to people not wearing a mask in sectors where it is however compulsory.

While the government could give a new turn of the screw to health measures this week, the number of fines distributed for non-compliance with the curfew was up sharply this weekend.

According to information from Europe 1, nearly 3,000 people were fined in the night from Saturday to Sunday alone.

The first week of curfew had given rise to 4,777 fines.

21,000 people were checked overnight from Saturday to Sunday, twice as many checks as the previous weekend.

But it must be said that 54 departments are now affected by the curfew, against only nine metropolises previously.

Two in three French people are now subject to a curfew, which represents 46 million inhabitants deprived of travel between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Only 430 restaurants and businesses fined

In addition to the 3,000 verbalizations, there are also a thousand offenders who did not wear a mask during the day on Saturday in sectors where it is compulsory to wear it.
