Atlético Madrid, humiliated (4-0) by Bayern on the first day in Munich, was somewhat reassured by winning not without difficulty against Salzburg (3-2) at home, Tuesday during the second Champions League group stage matchday.

The young Portuguese prodigy Joao Felix avoided another disappointment for his family by scoring the winning goal five minutes from the end, signing in the process a precious double.

Atlético opened the scoring at the half-hour mark by midfielder Marcos Llorente, with a shot from the left low to the ground at the entrance to the surface (29th).

Salzburg equalized 10 minutes later by their Hungarian midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, who deceived Jan Oblak, the Slovenian goalkeeper of Atlético, with a beautiful shot without control from the outside of the right foot (40th).

Just two minutes after the restart, Salzburg took the lead on a low cross from Andreas Ulmer on the left side for German striker Mergim Berisha at the far post, who scored despite the return of Brazilian Felipe ( 47th).

But five minutes later the Madrilenians equalized by Joao Felix, at the conclusion of a beautiful movement bordering on offside with the Argentinian Angel Correa (52nd).

The Portuguese prodigy finally offered the victory to Atlético with a shot in the box after a confused action and in the middle of a forest of legs (85th).

This victory allows Diego Simeone's team to take 2nd place in Group A, three points behind Bayern but two steps ahead of Lokomotiv Moscow and Salzburg.

On the third day, Tuesday November 3, Atlético will travel to Moscow at Lokomotiv, beaten (2-1) at home by Bayern who will play the same day in Salzburg.
