The police department of southwestern Finland said on Tuesday afternoon that a man and a dog had died in a front-line fire in Aura on Perkontie on Monday evening.

The rescue service and police received an alarm at the scene on Monday at 11:23 p.m.

When the rescue service arrived on the scene, the house was already on fire.

In connection with the fire-fighting work, its male resident and his dog were found dead in the house.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Police do not currently suspect a crime related to the case, but continue to investigate as a cause of fire and death.
