The pillar of the French rugby team, Mohamed Haouas, is summoned to the criminal court in January 2021 for burglaries in tobacco shops committed six years earlier, AFP learned from the Montpellier prosecutor's office (Hérault).

The Montpellier player is due to appear on January 29, the prosecution said, confirming information revealed by RMC Sport.

The right pillar, tenured in the XV of France in January, was held for four days in a remand center after being arrested in 2014 for these burglaries, according to RMC Sport.

The past, the forward coach doesn't care

In an interview with AFP in January, the forward coach of the France team William Servat assured: "The past, I do not care", in reference to the tumultuous background of the player, aged 19 at the time of the facts.

"Me, what matters to me is the player that I have met, the person that I have met," he assured.

The 25-year-old was also sent off the pitch last April and suspended for three weeks for hitting Scotland's third row Jamie Ritchie in the face in a Six Nations Tournament match.
