The president of Aragon, Javier Lambán, has announced the decision of the regional executive to confine the autonomous community in a perimeter way from 00:00 this Tuesday, October 27, and until next November 9, a measure allowed by the regulations on the state of alarm approved this Sunday in the Council of Ministers.

Lambán recalled, at a press conference, that the three provincial capitals -Huesca, Zaragoza and Teruel- have already been in perimeter confinement since last week, which is being maintained, and that it is now being extended to the entire region so that the Inhabitants of the rest of the municipalities can move freely within Aragon, a territory that is confined for circulation with respect to other autonomous communities, "except for justified reasons," he stated.

The Aragonese chief executive has considered that the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic forces us to take this type of measure.

"It would be foolhardy to soften the harshness" of the same since this week and next, like the previous one, are "keys to lower the curve of infections" of COVID-19, Lambán has wielded.

Likewise, it has said that the curfew hours will be maintained between 11:00 pm and 6:00 am in this autonomous community, ruling out modifying it, as allowed by state regulations to the autonomous communities.

It has also rejected the possibility of applying weekend lockdowns.

"It is not something that we have considered," he pointed out.
