The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the regulations for providing services to pilgrims abroad by Umrah companies and licensed travel agents outside the Kingdom, with the beginning of the reception of pilgrims from various countries of the world gradually starting next Sunday.

The Ministry affirmed that the Kingdom is honored to start receiving pilgrims from outside the Kingdom for the third phase of the return of Umrah and the gradual visit starting from the beginning of November, and the Kingdom is keen to preserve human safety, especially during what the world is going through due to the Corona virus pandemic.

The Ministry stated that, in coordination with other concerned authorities, it is working to create a safe and comfortable environment for the pilgrims throughout their journey, and coordination has been made with the national carrier, Saudi Airlines, to provide the necessary seat capacity, according to the approved plan to take into account the application of precautionary measures and health protocols.

The ministry added that the protocols for Umrah entitlement include that the age group for overseas pilgrims should be from 18 to 50 years in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health, and to present a certificate of "PCR" examination with a negative result, proving that they are free from the new Corona virus, issued by a reliable laboratory from the state of the pilgrim, provided that it does not exceed 72 hours from the time of taking the sample until the time of departure to the Kingdom, and prior reservation to perform Umrah and prayer in the Grand Mosque and visit to the Prophet's Mosque and prayer in the honorable kindergarten, according to the controls and capacity approved by the application of "Umrah", and that flight reservations are confirmed for going and returning according to the approved program for each pilgrim. .

She added that the mandatory components of the services package for each pilgrim include (housing service), and include three days of health isolation upon arrival to the Kingdom, transportation service between ports and housing, comprehensive insurance service, and field services that include transportation between the campus, housing and meeqaat, and the appointment of a guide leader for each group.

She revealed that the responsibilities of the Saudi Umrah companies and external agents are concerned with educating pilgrims abroad of the precautionary measures that must be applied from their arrival to the Kingdom until their departure, and that the Umrah company verifies the validity of all the data and information of the pilgrim's passport entered into the Umrah system, and entering the pre-preparedness data 24 hours before the arrival date maximum With the introduction of the data of the confirmed airline tickets for each pilgrim and the housing data, the agent, in solidarity with the Saudi Umrah Company, bears responsibility for the integrity of this data, and the obligations that may arise as a result of its incorrectness, and notifying the pilgrims of precautionary health isolation for a period of three days upon arrival in the Kingdom in the hotels in which the pilgrims reside. And the division of pilgrims abroad into groups, and each group includes (50 pilgrims) as a minimum, and booking a unified program with all services (aviation, housing, and transportation) coinciding with the date of booking to perform Umrah and visit in the application of “Umrah.

She indicated that the Ministry works in coordination with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the concerned authorities to determine the countries from which the pilgrims come from, and their numbers periodically according to the classification of preventive measures, the requirements of the countries from which the pilgrims and visitors come to the Kingdom, and the approval of qualified service providers (hotels and transport companies) in accordance with the controls This exceptional stage, the precautionary requirements and health protocols, and the availability of their services for display through the electronic marketing platforms approved in the Saudi central reservation engine, and the electronic certification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for contracts concluded between external agents and Saudi Umrah companies, in line with the requirements of remote work to protect against the risk of spread novel coronavirus.
