Who says curfew, says fewer passengers.

Ile de France Mobilités announced on Monday a reduction in its public transport offer in the Paris region, from 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

One in two subways should be running, but some adjustments are planned.

"An adaptation of the transport offer will be put in place, from 9 pm, at the end of the service from Wednesday October 28 in order to take into account the very sharp reduction in the number of passengers", explained Ile-de. -France Mobilités (IDFM), which asked transport operators (RATP, SNCF and Optile) to make these changes.

No change on lines serving hospitals

In detail, the metro offer will be reduced "to about one in two metro", as will the frequency of buses, except for "the busiest bus lines and lines serving hospitals" which will not undergo any change. , said the regional transport authority.

Metro lines 4, 7 and 13 will however be reinforced between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. “to deal with situations of increased traffic,” she said.

On the side of trains and RER, the offer will also be reduced to one in two trains, "except for lines where the waiting time is greater than or equal to 30 minutes in normal period", she added.

Finally, for trams, the reduction will be "gradual" from 9 pm.

"The level of transport offer will be analyzed daily and can be adapted according to attendance and especially after school holidays", assured IDFM, stressing that the transport offer will be maintained at 100%, from opening until 'at 9 pm.

During the week of October 17 to 24, traffic is 13% compared to normal after 9 pm, "and drops to almost 0 after 11 pm", observed Ile-de-France Mobilités.
