Prime Minister Suga gave his first statement of belief and expressed his intention to work on measures against the new coronavirus and rebuilding the economy, as well as to realize a carbon-free society.
On the other hand, the opposition party has a policy of pursuing the government's response to the appointment of members of the Science Council of Japan, and the debate between the ruling and opposition parties will begin on the 28th.
The extraordinary Diet session, which was the stage of the first debate after the inauguration of the Suga Cabinet, was convened on the 26th.
In his first statement of belief, Prime Minister Suga emphasized that he would absolutely prevent the explosive infection of the new coronavirus, protect the lives and health of the people, and restore the economy.
He also stated that he would "zero greenhouse gas emissions as a whole by 2050" toward the realization of a carbon-free society.
The representative questions of each party regarding the statement of belief will be held at the plenary session of both Houses of Representatives from the 28th to the 3rd.
The opposition party will start a debate between the ruling and opposition parties with the policy of taking the government's stance on measures against the new coronavirus and rebuilding the economy and pursuing the government's response to the appointment of members of the Science Council of Japan.
