The Salinières car park was set on fire on May 18, 2019. -

Almost eighteen months after the arson of May 18, 2019, which devastated it, the Salinières car park reopens its doors on Monday.

The fire, set on a vehicle in the parking lot, quickly spread and caused considerable damage.

The restoration work cost an amount of ten million euros, fully covered by the insurance companies.

If the safety commission, passed just before the fire had declared the car park in conformity with the standards in force, the work was an opportunity to strengthen fire safety.

A sprinkler system, an automatic water extinguishing system, has in particular been installed throughout the car park.
