Died Deputy Chairman of the Bundestag Thomas Oppermann

The politician was hospitalized on the evening of October 25 after he became ill while filming a program on the ZDF TV channel.

He later died in hospital.

The cause of death was not reported.

The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Germany Hubertus Heil on Twitter expressed condolences in connection with the death of Opperman.

In early October, a deputy of the State Duma of the VI convocation, a former senator and candidate member of the Politburo of the CPSU Central Committee Vladimir Dolgikh, died in Moscow.
