Anna Mia Ekström, who is a professor of Global Infection Epidemiology at the Karoliska Institutet, believes that Sweden's more long-term plan may be preferable to other countries' more short-term strategies. 

-S shutdowns can certainly dampen the spread of infection temporarily, but as soon as you let it go, it will come back again.

There, I still believe that Sweden has had a point in having a more sustainable strategy that people can put up with and respect over a longer period of time, she says.
