The Zhuhai ship started construction at the Dalian Shipyard in October 1987 and entered the South China Sea Fleet in November 1991. It is 132 meters long and 12.8 meters wide.

In 1997, the Zhuhai ship crossed the Pacific and made a historic visit to the United States, Mexico, Chile and other four countries and five ports, creating the history of the Chinese navy’s main battleship crossing the Pacific for the first time. At the same time, it created the longest trip, the longest voyage, and the longest trip. Many records such as the largest number of countries and ports, and the largest number of people visiting, have established illustrious military exploits.
