On Sunday, the Israeli government ratified the normalization agreement with Bahrain, and it is scheduled to be submitted later to the Knesset (Parliament) for approval, while the agreement with the UAE entered into formal implementation.

Maariv newspaper said that the government had ratified the agreement to establish diplomatic relations and friendship between Israel and the Kingdom of Bahrain, which was signed in Manama last week.

After its approval in the Knesset, the agreement is to be returned to the government again for approval.

And last Sunday, Israel announced that it had signed a joint declaration to establish full diplomatic relations with Bahrain.

In a statement on its Twitter account, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said at the time, "Historic moments now in Manama. The signing of the joint declaration to establish full diplomatic relations between Israel and Bahrain."

In a related context, the Israeli government, on Sunday, finally ratified the normalization agreement signed in mid-September with the Emirates, after it was passed in the Knesset, to become effective.

On October 15, the Knesset ratified the normalization agreement with the UAE, after the government initially ratified it.

 The Hebrew Kan channel reported that 80 out of 120 deputies voted in favor of the agreement, while 13 Arab deputies opposed it, and a number of other deputies abstained from voting.

Last month, the UAE and Bahrain decided to normalize their relations with Israel, in a move that met with sharp Palestinian criticism.

Israel and the UAE announced that their citizens would be exempt from travel visas, and agreements related to investment and scientific cooperation were signed, and an aviation agreement permitting 28 flights per week between the two countries.

On Friday, Sudanese Foreign Minister-designate Omar Qamar al-Din announced that the transitional government agreed to normalize relations with Israel, explaining that ratifying it remains a work of legislative bodies.

US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed the desire of more Arab countries to normalize relations with Israel.

The Palestinians condemned the normalization agreements, which they see as inconsistent with the Arab consensus, which made resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict a basic condition for peace with Israel.
