October 25, 2020Thirteen new cardinals arrive in the Church.

This was announced by Pope Francis at the Angelus.

"On November 28, on the eve of the first Sunday of Advent, I will hold a consistory" for the creation of "thirteen new cardinals", said Bergoglio. 



Among the thirteen new cardinals there are six Italians (three of whom are voters).

I am Msgr.

Marcello Semeraro, who from the diocese of Albano was recently appointed Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints (in place of Angelo Becciu), Msgr.

Paolo Lojudice, Archbishop of Siena and the Franciscan Father Mauro Gambetti, Custos of the Sacred Convent of Assisi. 



They are then joined to the college of cardinals, not electors for reasons of age, Msgr.

Silvano Tomasi, diplomat of the Holy See, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, preacher of the Papal Household and Msgr.

Enrico Feroci, parish priest at Divino Amore and Rome and former director of the diocesan Caritas.
