The 203rd Extraordinary Diet Session will be convened on the 26th, and Prime Minister Suga's first statement of belief will be given.

Prime Minister Suga has decided to show his stance of working on regulatory reforms under the banner of "a cabinet that works for the people."

After the inauguration of the Suga Cabinet, the 203rd Extraordinary Diet Session, which will be the stage for the first debate, will be convened on the 26th.

The session lasts 41 days until December 5th.

On the 26th, in the afternoon, after the opening ceremony was held with His Majesty the Emperor, Prime Minister Suga will give his first statement of belief at the plenary session of both Houses of Representatives.

Prime Minister Suga has set up a "Cabinet that works for the people", breaks down the vertical division of the administration, pushes forward with regulatory reforms, prevents the explosive infection of the new coronavirus, resumes socio-economic activities, and the economy. I will show my attitude to recover.

In addition, we have decided to set out a policy of aiming for virtually zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 toward the realization of a carbon-free society.

Then, from the 28th to the 3rd, representative questions of each party on the speech will be held in both houses of the Diet.

At the extraordinary Diet session, the ruling party wants to pass a bill on securing a vaccine for the new coronavirus and a bill seeking approval of the EPA = Economic Partnership Agreement between Japan and the United Kingdom.

On the other hand, the opposition party will take the government's stance on measures against the new corona and rebuilding the economy, and will pursue the reasons and circumstances why Prime Minister Suga did not appoint the six member candidates recommended by the Science Council of Japan. It is a policy.

Since the term of office of members of the House of Representatives has expired in less than a year, the ruling and opposition parties are expected to have a debate in view of the dissolution and general elections.
