Veteran star Jimmy Vardy led Leicester City to return to the road to victories in the English Premier League, after he scored the team's only goal in its 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday in the sixth round of the Premier League.

Leicester, who lost to West Ham United and Aston Villa in the past two rounds, rose to 12 points, moving up to fourth place in the competition standings.

On the other hand, Arsenal, who suffered their third loss in the tournament this season and the second in a row, froze at 9 points in tenth place.

The substitutions of Leicester coach Brendan Rodgers contributed to the advantage of his team during the second half, after Arsenal had possession of the ball most of the first half, but without any activity on the goal, so that the only goal came through Substitute Vardy, who hit a well-headed header, from a follow-up to his Turkish colleague. Substitute Jenghis Onder in the 83rd minute of the match.

With this goal, Vardy continued his hobby of shaking the net of Arsenal for the fourth consecutive confrontation between the two teams in the league championship, to raise his scoring tally in the prestigious competition this season, to six goals.

Fardi shared the second place in the tournament's top scorer list with Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's top scorer, with a single goal behind Dominic Calvert Lewin and Hyung Min Son of Everton and Tottenham, respectively, who share the top of the list.
