The body of an underwater freediver was found on Friday around 11:40 p.m. off Sainte-Maxime in the Var, the maritime prefecture said in a press release.

This man had been missing for 21 hours at the municipal police of the Var commune.

His body was located by the national society of rescue at sea of ​​Saint-Tropez around 10 p.m., between six and eight meters deep, very close to his buoy.

The body was entrusted to the gendarmes of Antibes, Lanvandou and the maritime gendarmerie shortly before midnight.
