“Investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Leningrad Region have opened a criminal case on the hired murder of the deputy of the Vyborgsky District of the Leningrad Region Alexander Petrov (clause“ z ”of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation),” the statement says.

According to the investigation, in the evening on October 24, an unidentified person fired a firearm from the opposite bank of the river at a 61-year-old man who was on the territory of his house near Vyborg in the Leningrad Region.

It is specified that an investigative and operational group continues to work at the scene.

The Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk previously arrested businessman Anatoly Bykov for two months as part of a criminal investigation into the organization of the 2005 murder.
