It is the municipality's environmental and health protection committee that now demands immediate action.

This is because the liquid manure wells risk overflowing and spreading the nutrient-rich liquid manure to nearby watercourses and in the long run Ätran.

- The consequence will be that watercourses risk being eutrophicated, says the head of the environmental and health protection administration Anders Ramberg to SVT Nyheter Halland.

Has seven days on him

The emptying must be started within seven days, otherwise a fine of SEK 20,000 threatens.

All liquid manure must also be away from the relevant wells no later than 20 November, otherwise the farm risks an additional SEK 30,000 in fines.

According to the municipality, the liquid manure can be transported to empty manure wells on other farms while waiting to be spread on the fields in the spring.

The municipality also requires documents that show where the liquid manure is deposited.

The county veterinarian alerted

The Environmental and Health Protection Administration also found carcasses of dead animals during its inspection of the farm and has therefore made a report to the county veterinarian.

The county veterinarian is currently unable to comment on the matter.
