Tingsryds Tennissällskap has about 200 members, of which about 80 are children and young people.

Today, the association can only conduct its activities for a limited period of the year - the nearest tennis halls are located in Växjö and Ronneby.

Young commuters during the winter

- We have several young people who play with us in the summer but train elsewhere during the winter.

At the same time, we have nine trained own coaches so we have every opportunity to have a really good tennis training in a hall in Tingsryd, says Paul Gustavsson who is chairman of the association.

It is not clear where the new tennis hall could be located, but the plans are for it to be 2,500 square meters in size with two tennis courts and three paddle courts.

The hall must be adapted for accessibility to conduct training in wheelchair tennis.

"Hope the hall is ready next year"

The estimated total costs are between SEK 11 and 12 million, so the contribution from the General Heritage Fund is a long way off.

- We have two large pieces left.

The last financing and where the hall will be located.

But we hope that it will be ready in the spring or summer of next year, says Paul Gustavsson.
