According to the publication, the new administration mechanism provides for payments to doctors directly through one of the extra-budgetary funds - the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, the FFOMS or the FSS - under the joint leadership of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor.

The interlocutor of the newspaper notes that such an approach will allow in the future to avoid problems with "determining the amount of additional payments due to uncoordinated actions of the center and the regions."

Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that more than 142 billion rubles were allocated in Russia to fight COVID-19.

In mid-August, he announced the government's intention to propose extending incentive payments to medical workers fighting coronavirus infection.
