US President Donald Trump announced on Friday, October 23, the normalization of diplomatic relations between Israel and Sudan, assuring that the two countries had made "peace".

 ”, declared Donald Trump after a telephone conversation with the leaders of the two countries, which journalists were able to attend.

The president announced that Sudan and Israel had agreed to normalize their relations, a new major step towards peace in the Middle East,

 " said a spokesman for the US executive.

The announcement comes after Israel's recent normalization of relations with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

Today Khartoum is saying yes to peace with Israel, yes to the recognition of Israel and to normalization with Israel,

 ”welcomed the Israeli Prime Minister in a statement in Hebrew.

Just before the announcement of this normalization, the US executive announced Donald Trump's intention to remove Khartoum from the list of states supporting terrorism.

Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok thanked Donald Trump during the call, welcoming the major impact this measure would have on the Sudanese economy.

The American president assured that other agreements were in preparation.

"We have at least five who want to come (make peace) and we'll have a lot more than that soon," adding expect Saudi Arabia to be one of them.
