On Monday, a severely injured man in his 25s was found in a gateway in Svalöv.

A passer-by called the ambulance but the man died at the hospital.

The next day, two men, aged 24 and 20, were arrested and arrested on probable cause on suspicion of murder.

On Friday, prosecutor Anders Strid decided to release the older of the men.

However, the 20-year-old was requested to be detained.

Anders Strid is silent about the motive behind the release.

- Information has emerged in the investigation that links the 20-year-old to the murder.

But not the 24-year-old, he says.

Does this mean that the man who is now released is released from all suspicions?

- I can not comment on that now. The investigation into the murder will continue, says Anders Strid.
